Medic is a technology platform that connects individuals seeking healthcare, personal-care, and home-care services (“Customers”) with individuals or organizations offering such services (“Service Providers” or “Medics”).

Depending on availability in your location, services may include:

• Nursing and nursing assistance
• Elderly care & companion assistance
• Adult day care
• Baby and child day care
• Personal care assistance
• Medication assistance
• Physiotherapy and physical rehabilitation
• Home healthcare assistance
• Other healthcare or caregiving services offered through the Platform

Medic primarily provides the technology platform that facilitates communication, discovery, booking, scheduling, and coordination. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, Medic is not itself the healthcare professional providing the service.

You must:

• Be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction.
• Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
• Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• Use the Platform only for lawful purposes.

If you are using Medic on behalf of another person, you confirm that you are authorized to do so. Medic may restrict or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Some features require you to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, including: Name, Phone number, Email address, Location, Emergency/contact information, and other required booking details.

You must not share your account, create accounts under false identities, or use the platform for unauthorized or fraudulent purposes.

Medic may use third-party verification services to verify phone number access. Verification helps protect accounts and reduce fraud, but does not independently verify identity or medical qualifications.

Medic allows Customers to request and book services from independent Service Providers. A booking is confirmed only when accepted through the Platform. Medic does not guarantee that a specific medic or time will always be available.

Service Providers are responsible for providing services safely, professionally, and in compliance with all applicable laws and licensing requirements. While Medic verifies credentials, Customers should review provider details before booking.

Only appropriately licensed Service Providers may perform medical activities. Customers must not request any Service Provider to perform procedures outside their legal scope of practice.

Medic does not prescribe or determine medications. Customers remain responsible for providing accurate prescriptions and health details.

You agree to provide accurate service locations, patient details, and timing. You must ensure the service environment is safe and accessible for the Service Provider.

Cancellation policies vary by service. Cancellation fees may apply depending on timing. Repeated cancellations may result in account restrictions.

You agree to pay applicable service charges, platform fees, taxes, and cancellation fees. Payments are handled via secure third-party payment processors.

Refunds are subject to our cancellation and refund policies and will be returned through the original payment method where applicable.

Location data is used to match nearby caregivers, confirm service addresses, and display transit status. You can toggle location permissions in device settings.

Real-time location sharing is provided strictly for appointment arrival estimation and safety. Misuse of location data for stalking or harassment is strictly prohibited.

Users must not harass others, impersonate individuals, reverse engineer the platform, upload malicious software, or arrange prohibited activities.

Users should exercise reasonable caution and report any suspected fraud, harassment, or safety violations immediately through our support channels.

You retain ownership of content and reviews you submit, granting Medic a limited license to use content to operate and improve the Platform.

Reviews must be honest, relevant, and free of harassment. Medic reserves the right to moderate or remove abusive reviews.

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.

Healthcare information is highly sensitive. Please share only what is necessary to fulfill your service request and avoid sharing medical information in public reviews.

Medic integrates with trusted third-party providers (e.g. Firebase, Google Maps, payment gateways) which operate under their respective terms and privacy policies.

The Medic name, logo, mobile application, software, and brand assets are owned by or licensed to Medic and protected under intellectual property laws.

We strive for high reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted platform uptime due to maintenance, technical updates, or events beyond reasonable control.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without express or implied warranties.

To the extent permitted by law, Medic is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the Platform or service provider conduct.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Medic, its affiliates, and employees from claims arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Platform.

Medic may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, pose safety risks, or engage in fraudulent conduct.

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of Medic after updates constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by applicable local and national laws where Medic operates. Disputes will be handled within authorized competent jurisdictions.
